Two scriptures that I have not heard preached together, are most definitely aligned 2 Timothy 3:1 and Revelations 12:11
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Revelations 12:10-11 |
The new paper bulletin in Timothy says that perilous times are coming. Taking into account that this a first-century headline, one can access that those prophesied days are either closer, here, or passed. Based on the description, of defining events, we could assess they have indeed not passed.

approach, hard to bear, troublesome, dangerous, harsh, fierce, savage. Applicably translated, days that will challenge your faith.
A song from 1961, by the Shirelles, Momma Said----sang,
“Momma told me there would be days like this. They’ll be days like this Momma said.”
Reliably, a good momma often shared life expectations to their children. Unless she was more prophetic than wise, momma might not have known the magnitude of what the Father God said.
In a related verse, 2 Timothy 2:18, the Holy Ghost reveals the ploy is to overthrow the faith of some.
More and more, the enemy and his forces have attempted to set the conditions for the overthrow of God’s kingdom and moreover overthrow God’s people within.
God has always provided the solution and the weaponry for and against the devil's tactics. (In my opinion, people of the world are troubled when Christians talk about warfare. They want Christians to be nice and tolerable.)
And no matter how much it's preached, shared, and demonstrated----the love for all people while hating what they do---at best it is still translated as antagonistic on the world stage
However, God who is love is also called a man of war. (Exodus 15:3)
The power of Love seemingly takes on another look, when it is addressing forces that oppose or harm, those it loves (including those who don’t know they are loved---John 3:16).
God usually gets blamed for all hurt or disaster that happens on earth. Most people even Christians are often oblivious to the war and or players in the war scenario.
Satan, aka the Dragon, is often disguised as an “angel of light” reflecting the blame of evil over on God.
In a world that is filled with absolutes, he manipulates of the rules. Like the serpent in the garden and the wilderness, he manipulated God’s truth by re-posting God’s word saying. “Did not God say” ---but only now with a twist.
Satan, in the book of Revelations, amongst other things, is called The Accuser of the Brethren. His job is to bring accusation---twisted accusation about believers to God----The Judge of the Universe and holder of the His Word.
The goal is to rob Christians from their rightful stand and inheritance in God. It may be just a snowball's chance in hell to get God to move against his children, but the accusation is not limited to the Father. The accusations are also heard in the ears of the Christian brethren themselves. The Bible says that if possible, the very elect----those secure in God’s salvation could be deceived.
Satan’s badger is not----nah nah a nah nah, but words and subversion to challenge the very core of a child of God's position and righteousness in Christ. And it’s not a onetime (single shot) thought, but Revelations 12:11 account says it’s (a barrage) night and day.
Back to the weapons, 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 says they are not natural things but strong spiritual weapons that cast down the devil and his cohorts from their attempt to ascendancy in our minds.
One of the ways this is done is through the power of personal testimony.
No scripture is of private interpretation (2 Peter 1:20). What is personal is the once and for all sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross for all men, and the change made to any person who receives it. This is a witness of the personal encounter with the bloody cross of the Savior that has radically delivered an individual from the power of darkness is to the Kingdom of God’s dear Son.
This testimony is manifest into eternal salvation---foremost and is at the same time---deliverance to the minds, healing to the body, break through from poverty, victory from wretchedness, and so much more.
This given freedom is released to others through our testimony and witness. People hearing our story, may not always be able to identify with each account, but they can at always identify with the blood of Christ that caused each to overcome.
This overcoming is ternary. It ministers to others, remind ourselves, but also breaks the stronghold of the devil---catching him in his lie.
In 2017, be a light and a weapon of faith & breakthrough to others. Let your life story and witness in Christ be a weapon of love and power---helping someone else to overcome.
