Judgment in the Land |

An End time word by Terrence ClarkAs in many times, it was a Sunday morning, at my home church. My brother---the senior pastor had just taken the platform. I heard the prophetic unction from the Lord nudge in me inside.
Here at my home church, with a pastoral sanction, a tested and verifiable ministry, and a raise of my hand--- I have the liberty to share in my gift, mostly at any time. In course, there would usually be a prophetic word to the congregation, sometimes followed by a word to the pastor. When I sit down, a seemingly more abstract word would sometimes surface in me. Typically, I would hold this revelation, unless prompted strongly by the Holy Spirit, to share with my pastor at the end of service. Sometimes the prophetic word would rise in me like a newspaper headline. As I pause and listen, the Holy Spirit will give the subtitle, |
or tag, followed by the rest of the story. Sometimes all at once. Sometimes unfolding over the course of the service or even over the days to come.
“Judgment is in the land.” Is what I heard this time? Like many times, it would be something that consciously and presently, I had not been entertaining. It would be exactly as called --- a word from the Lord. And of course, it never comes to diminish “the more sure word”---logos and rhema of scripture. Often God via His Spirit, gives a distinct word for the moment, to address a current issue, or just to prophetically confirm the message. “Judgment is in the Land.” It’s what I heard. I tried to interpret, not mindfully knowing what God was trying to relay to me. So I just listened and allowed the Revelator to do what he does---reveal. What came to me was the secular’s headlines at the time of the prophecy.
“America’s dad” and wholesome entertainer, Bill Cosby’s sentencing trial was but a week away. Convicted and judged of raping a former female athlete, over 14 years ago, He was tried in court as well as the public. His image forever marred. Supreme court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, according to record and review, an outstanding judge, husband, father, and citizen, was accused of rape, attempted rape, and indecency for alleged an incident 35 years ago. He denied it. However, his image in the public eyes was split with the greater number condemning him even before interrogations were complete. And this case comes with suspicion by some. Understanding his appointment to the nation’s highest court could challenge Rowe vs. Wade --- the abortion ruling, in the times to come. It was here the Lord added. “The judgment is concerning life.”
There is a spirit of judgment is in the land. Judgment is always legal. Legal is defined, in this article, as that which is based law, decree, ordinance, contract, or scripture. Judgment is also based on opinion. It is not always based on facts or (sometimes not even) truth. It is usually based on how "truth" is presented and how "truth" is heard. Of course, that’s in the public court of opinion. The legal court system, at least in the civilized world, is based on truth and truth’s relationship to the law. The oath confessed (sometimes with the right hand upon a bible) use to be the foundation of truth for the American court system. “Do you solemnly swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth so help you God?” It is said that truth exists on more than one plain. Relative truth may be based on facts. Conversely, these facts can be conditional. “The facts” can be based on the perspective, position, or even the passion of the professor or listener. According to Revelations 12 one of the marks of the “Last Days” post-rapture---is that the “Accuser of the Brethren”---Satan would be cast down to earth with great wrath. His methodology --- he accuses the saints before Yahweh God day and night. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. Revelations 12:10 |
Judgment is in the Land (Update)
Because of the word of the Lord, I believe this article to be still suitable. As I write this update, Judge Brett Kavanagh had been sworn into the Supreme Court of the United States---the highest earthly court in the country and I emphasize earthly court. An ironic case, a man in power to judge matters affecting the lives of the public, being judged by the public of things pertaining to his life. The accusation and verdict having long-range effect for those in support and those against his appointment. We have the Senate (elected to represent the people) who approved his nomination--- almost split in the 48-52 vote. Vote and verdict don’t always settle the public consciousness. So although the judge was approved, as this article explores, the spirit of this nation is still not agreed. In reflection, the heart of the matter was not to invalidate Dr. Christine Blasey Ford’s claim of rape but to determine if her violater truly was teenage Brett Kavanagh, who thirty plus years later emphatically denies. And despite the FBI’s findings and Kavanagh’s confirmation, it still may not be settled, with the impeachment gun still loaded and aimed at President Trump, now being pointed towards the new judge. So condemnation, allegation, accusation, and investigation---all components of judgment have not ceased to tear a nation. Next for the courts to try, has “just” the accusation of crime, and the possibility of a cover-up, stained the judges position on the court, staining future judgments he is part of---at least to the heart of the law. Has damage been done? Has the accusation contaminated and weakened the full weight of this branch of the judicial system, at least in the eyes of those who still oppose Justice Kavanagh’s vindication and appointment or has it given some an excuse to challenge? Decisively, the final gavel, whether accepted by anyone, will still triumph and settle all doubt and faith, at the end and now---is, of course, the Word of the Lord upon which all truth must affirm. |

The wonderful thing, the devil accusations, from God’s perspective, are not effective. The great truth of the blood washed saint, is that the accused is undeniably guilty by default. However, the “greater truth” upon which the Almighty’s judgment stands is that “The Redeemed” is just that---redeemed. The sacrifice of Jesus 2018 plus years ago is and will be forever eternally fresh. He still bears the scars---open wounds as the once doubting Thomas found.
Case in point, Didymus was one of the greatest apostles and evangelist. Accredited to his apostleship---the nation of India. Yet bible stories have tagged and titled him with his disposition prior to his first post-resurrection, Jesus encounter, as a doubting man.
It’s not that President Trump has personally harnessed Twitter to interrupt the norms of government and society. He is operating in the flow of the time. And it may be true that his level of leadership and authority should exercise more restraint in the use of social media, it is still the flow of the times.
The little horn that came out of the last beast of kingdoms of Daniels chapter 7 prophecies (see “Keep Looking” articles) was one speaking many words? All this rash speaking is not indicative only to the US president. It’s an indicator of times we live --- words and words---opinions, controversies, politics, and babblings---words. 1 Corinthians says all voices (words) have meaning.

There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification.
1 Corinthians 14:10
1 Corinthians 14:10
Words are expressive of judgments made. No matter how trivial, we speak based on the judgments we have made in life, in our life. ironically, vain conversation may be based on the judgment that words have no meaning. Pure ignorance in conversation still becomes the self-fulfilling prophecy.
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: Deuteronomy 30:19
God told Israel---I set before Life and death. Choose life. To choose is to judge. Choices are based on judgments. God’s decree to Israel and their response was to be a judgment based upon His sovereignty, faithfulness, integrity, and relationship to Him.
Every day, people---sinners and saints alike are given words, ideas, concepts, thoughts, realities, and kingdom ideology to judge---to base choice, decisions, actions, and behaviors upon. Actions, viewpoints, politics, belief systems, prayers, and faith are based on choices derived from judgments. Reciprocally, Judgment empowers the word or situation with what we have based our judgment. The saints of Hebrews 11 walked in the power of God because they judged Him Faithfull that promised and therefore received the fullness of Him they believed. |
Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised
Hebrews 11:11
Hebrews 11:11
As Christians, we are to judge the world and our life according to God’s Word and Truth---nothing more and nothing less. God’s truth is absolute. It unchangeable. It’s unalterable. Titus 1:2---says God cannot lie.
At the Communion Table born-again, believers are to judge sin and sickness in our bodies in accordance with the blood covenant of Christ and our place in it (1 Corinthians 11:27-32). Saints are to judge sin in the church and world according to the truth of God’s Word---not public opinion, the world’s flavor, or shades of gray. We are still to choose life on a daily bases. We are to judge sin, disease, poverty, social ills, relationships based (for one) on Luke 4:18, 19

18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
Luke 4:18-19
Again, whatever we judge by, is what we give what we judge, the power of. Jesus always judged not according to what he saw, heard, or felt. He didn’t even judge according to facts or relative truth. He judged according to His Word and what He saw the God the Father do. This judgment changed the facts into God’s reality.
Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
John 5:19
I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
John 5:30
John 5:19

John 5:30
He judged the prostitute forgiven. He judged blind men seeing. He judged lame man whole. He judged sinners as ones who God loves and he would take their place on the cross. God’s judgment stands upon John 3:16, 17
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
God didn’t send his son into the world to condemn the world. God deemed mankind doomed because of sin, but He judged them according to the sacrifice of Christ.
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 3:23
For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

According to scripture, in the kingdom to come, God will use the saints to judge angels---presumably fallen angels. It’s not certain to what the magnitude of that will be.
Know ye not that we shall judge angels? How much more things that pertain to this life?
1 Corinthians 6:3
1 Corinthians 6:3
I believe that presently some of that is in play. The response of the angelic kingdom is often according to our words---in confession, prayer, and intercession. Gabrielle told Daniel in Daniel 10:12 ---I have come for your words.
Psalms 103:20 says, Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. |
Ideally, its Gods Word proceeding out of our mouth. If it sounds stretched that our words empower or judge angels even now, consider what Jesus said in Matthew 12:37--- For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

This time of judgment is very critical. It always has been. However, the times we now live are volatile. The atmosphere has become ignitable. Conditions may seem outwardly political, but great is the effect on the souls of men.
