O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory--Psalm 108:1 |

To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.--- Psalm 30:12
Simplistically, "voice" is one of the key elements of communicating---acknowledging, teaching, directing, worshipping, influencing. Voice is the primary door of our soul to the outside world and to God. Our inward disclosures are often made known through some vehicle of communication---speech, song, music. Typically communication brings glory to someone—the person communicating or to whom (or what) they are communicating about. Like with writing, dance, and art, audibly is not the only way that humans communicate or declare glory. In any means, pronounced glory can be dim depending on the belief of the communicator. If the revelations of the mouth don’t connect with the belief of the heart, it can be deceptive.
Lifestyle is also key. How people live will always communicate and influence someone watching. Influence can be an indirect or direct result of communication. The level of communicated glory may be related to the influence something has. An individual who always talks about themselves may be thought be egotistical, prideful, or vain (glorious). Although there may be truth in a person claim to their own accomplishments and abilities---humans are fallible (and human). The ultimate is when an individual yields their life to magnify someone else. Jude 24, 25 concludes---

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, 25. To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
The painted weighted wooden keys on a baby grand would render a dull thud, at best, if their sound did not yield to the vibrations of the tuned strings. Hence never is heard the simultaneous strike of flesh and wood---only the music. One glory---means of influence, yields to bring forth another, and the passions of the pianist are heard by the hearers. The vibrant sounds of the piano are far more inviting than the lesser two.
Glory is defined as the weight of a thing or person---not just as in a physical mass and gravity but the power and presence of an entity. The glory of our sun is known by its mass and gravity. It’s further defined by its proximity to us on the earth.
Presumably, most people don’t consciously relate to this. What predominately defines the glory of the sun, to us on earth, is its presence. It’s the fact that it is there. There are millions of stars bigger than our sun, but they are not here.
Yahweh God is bigger and greater than all else. He is the creator of all things. He alone is God and despite what pride attempts, He is incontestable. He is all powerful---not needing to obtain any other thing. He is not only omnipotent, He is omniscient (all knowing) and omnipresent----to the believer this is known as His faithfulness.
I once asked the Lord, what His glory was, immediately I heard----God’s glory is the manifestation of His Word and Presence. He is all that and the chips, the bag, the potatoes, the farmer who harvested, the harvest itself, the land of the harvest, and everything else surrounding.
In the Old Testament, God’s glory was seen in his Shekinah---His visible, demonstrable tangible part. After deliverance from Egypt, by miracle after miracle, Yahweh the God of the Hebrews, the God of heaven and earth proved He was greater than all the multiple gods of the Egyptians---including Pharaoh himself. The surrounding nations knew He was greater than all others. Rahab, of Jericho, disclosed, to the Israelite's spies.” We heard what your God did to the kings of desert nations.”
God’s glory went before Israel, lingered behind them, and demonstrated for them. Today God is still all that to us. He fills believer with his manifest glory. Although he will not share it. He is the only one capable of being the producer of it. To be visited by His glory is to be visited by Him, to walk in His glory is to walk with Him. We cannot superimpose our glory over His. However, He invites us into His presence and puts His presence in us.
