A significant word
Scripture says that the Jesus as a husband is receiving his bride. This symbolic bride is the Church. He will present unto himself this bride (Church) without spot or wrinkle. This means a bride (Church, People) without blemishes and blame.
Sometimes this verse in Ephesians 5 is misquoted as that he is returning for a church without imperfection. And in that misquote---save A Day of Pentecost shaking--- seems daunting as currently in appearance, the church is far from glorious.
It does bring us to sing another chorus of “Oh the Blood of Jesus” In the same vein examine---What is a glorious church? What does it look like? In the Spirits analogy of a bride to her husband—it could be doubtless said that Jesus’ bride is not shabbily dressed.

All Eyes On Her
Although using the analogy of a western wedding, within still post a great picture. Most of the weddings preparation, as with detail, are thought usually to be after the desire of the bride. Continuing on the day of the ceremony, it is usually the bride, who everyone waits to see. And the moment comes, everyone is positioned and awaiting her entrance. Her bridesmaids precede her. The wedding aisle runner is rolled out. The flower girl prepares her way with petals of roses. The bride stands at the door. All stand-up. The Wedding Song is played. She walks in pageantry to her husband to be. Up to this point, all eyes have been on the groom. Watching him stand---waiting---- watching him sweat and smile. He alone, along with the minister, his ushers, and best man is facing the door. On the other side, the matron of honor, and the bridesmaid---all stand with the groom awaiting his bride. Suddenly, her entrance, at the door, draws their attention. The guest adjust and stare—interrupted from a mix of lethargy and anticipation. As she approaches, all eyes now are on her, looking at her beauty---her charm, her grace. |
Typically, clothed in white---radiance covering every blemish and scar. Behind her, her train, an extension of majestic attire. Before her entrance, the crowd was just waiting, varying in thoughts and opinions. A few with their eyes on the groom.
In some ceremonies, she walks with her father, confidently in his loving arms. Her father’s gaze is fixed. In love of his daughter, steady paced, he advances her---attached, confidently still at her side---in her walk, a little longer at least. He is focused committed to complete the day’s task.
In contrast, out of all, her eyes are singularly on him. Eyes and heart fixed upon the one to whom she is espoused. Looking up the aisle watching his smile for approval. The contrast often missed---while her eyes are singularly on him. All other now look at her.

Marriage & weddings (bride & husband) in most understanding are the uniting of a man and woman in legal relationship bond (bond not bondage). It is the union of two people into one on multiple levels----social, spiritual, and physical. Two life visions and missions unite in one. The word “submission” really infers the submitting of one mission up, under, and into another. There is a combining of families, friends, and finances. They become one in sexual union. And there is union of the--- soul, will, emotions, desires, and destinies. The Holy Bible says they are no longer two but one. God says it is the same way with Christ and the Church
In a marriage, a covenant has been made and cut. In this marriage, there is an exchange of everything. Jesus took our sins and nail them to the cross. He took our life and gave us His eternal life. For the imposing curse, he has given us---his bride---the blessings of God. He gave us His name. His Father is now our Father. The juxtaposition goes on and on.
Jesus will receive a bride---called the Church---made of every born again believer. Everything that is his now belongs to the Church. Everything that belonged to sinners, He took. In the marriage, manifested to those who receive by faith, He gave all things that pertain to life and godliness. In the marriage covenant, He took the sins of the world and exchanged them with His righteous.

What is the church?
The collective body of born again believers, who trust Christ as their Savior (the effect of sin, the resulting curse, from separation from God, and eternal damnation) having embraced the redemptive work of Christ, on the cross, and have entered into by faith and baptism of the Holy Spirit into Jesus’ body---many parts collective as one in covenant, representative in a physical body and thus redeemed by the sacrifice and resurrection of Christ physically body.
A covenant entity of believers in Christ and with each other.
Also known as the called out ones. People from every race, ethnicity, gender, language who have responded to the call of Jesus to the world and have therefore by grace through faith have been translated from the world system into the kingdom of God.
The collective body of born-again believers in Christ carrying out his commission, commands, covenant and communications in earth
Composed of believers who are alive on the earth currently and the ones who have gone to heaven via the grave. All promised a resurrected and glorified physical body at Jesus’ second coming.
The body of believers during the dispensation of Grace---who are eternally saved, singularly, through grace and faith in Christ’s redemptive work on the cross.
1 Corinthians 1:2, Ephesians 1:22 , Ephesians 3:10, Ephesians 3:21, Colossians 1:18, Colossians 1:24, Hebrews 12:23

What is the glory?
True (Indelible and transferable) Glory ----is the tangible expression of a being although sometimes thought to be abstract. It is the potential energy of a being and representative of the being itself, possessing the very nature, power, strength, honor, splendor, royalty, and likeness of that being.
Glory in its truest revelation is not an echo but is what precedes from a person, body, thing, word, or even concept regardless of the direct knowledge of the source. It is the weight---gravity of a being, and its ability to command or draw a response from that which encounters it.
Implied Glory---based on given or implied praise endeared by perceived status or accolades.
Symbolic glory---expressed in an object—statue, award, flag, anthem, mascot, or team. The object is focal of that glory which it represents.
Merited glory---gained by achievement or conquest.
Vainglory----excessive given or self-imposed praise or accolades to a being that cannot truly be supported by the power, status, praise of that being. The praise extends past the weight of the being--- deed, accomplishments, influence, or ability.
What is the glory of God?
That tangible manifestation of God that declares his power, wisdom, might, love, and justice (in purity and perfectness). It is manifest in his presence and expressed and declared through the creation and significantly (and emphatically) through regenerated mankind. It is the ultimate and complete manifestation and revelation in the person of the Son of God Jesus Christ. It is the very constitution of the Holy Spirit.
Also known as the Shekinah that presence of God that transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. It is the transient realm that allows the natural to encounter the supernatural of God transforming the natural or upholding it in order to partake of the revelation of that glory.
Exodus 33:18-23, Psalm 19:1, Habakkuk 3:4, John 1:14
What is the Glorious Church?
Is the manifestation of the presence of God, by His Spirit, in full working and operation, upon his called out ones----the body of Christ (the Church). Symbolically, in explanation, but actual in covenant---Jesus’ bride, wife, and body. The Church shares with Christ in position and experience as a wife to a husband---one flesh or entity.
Hence, in full, sharing all His power (in submission) and demonstrating (in covenant) all that He is, reaping all His benefits, and manifesting all His presence---in power, authority, and spirit---as if the Church, in the earth, was Christ himself. Therefore flowing His weight of glorious presence, influence, authority, and voice.
1 Corinthians 4:6-7, Romans 5:17, Ephesians 5:25-27

1 Peter 5:1-11
The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: 2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; 3 Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being examples to the flock.
4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.
5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. 6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: 7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
11 To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
