Founders and Christian innovator Marvin Cratch shared the new networks origin, concept, and purpose. Sharing what initiated CVE, Marvin revealed, it all started with his involvement with film festivals?
“I've had the pleasure to be part of film festivals with independent filmmakers. However, once these festivals were over, I wonder what happened to filmmakers and their films. You would see some great content or some great story-lines. You saw a lot of heart, felt through the personalities that went into creating these projects. |

Yet at the end of these events, it was all lost. It’s like they just threw it away because no one else knew. And it was a loss. And so when, I was working on red carpets events promoting films like War Room, Ben Hur—I got the opportunity to see quality. I got a chance to see what the industry looked for. I tried to instill what I experienced into the minds of the filmmakers (and short story people) that I've gotten involved with on the independent side. My gift is bringing people together, so I used what God had given me when I use to do unity day festivals.
I wanted to do something similar, so I asked God for direction. Our prayer became CVE (Christian Vision Entertainment). What we're trying to do is bring the body of Christ together through film and media. We call ourselves nurturers. Moms (mothers) are nurturers. So what we call our ministry MOM—Ministry of Media. And being a of ministry media, we want to nurture the airwaves with quality content. So we're able to take independent filmmakers and guide and direct them in the right direction. I work was with faith-based ministries. I’ve learned that there are a lot of faith-based movie makers that just have no outlet |
for what they were doing. So we wanted to open up an awareness around it.
Here is an avenue. We’re offering broadcasting and distribution. We’re helping them get that exposure. We’re helping them get the credibility. And, the best part, we offer a compensation plan. Filmmakers can support themselves. We place them on our network. They can be compensated through the support system that we developed in the making of CVE.” Pastor Marvin, a former marketer for the African Television Network, says there is a definite brand and vision distinction between CVE and the other already established markets. Our distinction really is us. It’s our passion for building the Kingdom of God. Working with people, reaching people, on every level and not segregating a filmmaker by what we feel. We help everyone. We open the doorway that people can reach, touch, and walk into. We like to say it’s in three forms. One, it’s something that people need. Two, it’s something people want. And three, most importantly, it’s something that is affordable, which is our blessing, which God has blessed us, to be able to help them with. |
So what separates us? It's choice. You can choose to bring your products to our network, or not, but we can help you.
Why did you choose to come with us? We want to be able to award even people that go away. Teach you how to do it right. Most importantly, help promote you while doing so. You’re getting broadcasting and distribution. More importantly, you're able to impact someone else. When we help you that opened the door for someone else, who came behind you, and saw where you came from. Its ministry—briefly, that's what it is.”
Here how it works according to minister, entrepreneur, Marvin.
“Hypothetically, you are a pastor or a minister of media at a home church. You have an idea for a movie. You’ve done a couple of plays, but now want to move it into movie production, to get your idea, script to a greater audience. You found out about CVE. You want to know, what do I need to do? What is the process?
The first thing, you send your synopsis, to Christianvisionenter@gmail.com along with a cover letter—letting us know what direction you want to go in. Secondly, we meet and see how we can enhance what you put before us. We determine if the project is feasible to be, put together. From there, we’ll work with you, help you by putting you in position with the right people to develop your concept.”

And were not talking thousands of dollars to accomplish this? Marvin says, no, it's doesn’t. Currently, at CVE, a church ministry (from a service aspect, not a movie production) can come on without charge.
Marvin assures that CVE is not a personal ministry of his or anybody else. He says that he and his team are only gatekeepers.
“Our job, says the pastor-leader, is to enhance the body of Christ by bringing the Word of Christ—to go out and preach and teach the gospel. This is a way to get the gospel broadcasted worldwide. If a church comes on, a church can be a small town church, we can give a global exposure by putting it on CVE.
We will market it. We can show it to your sick and shut-in. You can get your service to every member of your congregation or anybody who can’t get to your service. Members can even tithe into your service from watching.
People in other countries can log on to our site and see your sermon, love what they're hearing, and look forward to it every Sunday. So now, you have an online ministry that supports you from areas you never been in, but your word is traveling, your word is healing. The Word is blessing, moving in directions that you haven’t.”

Pastor Marvin said CVE is currently up and running in living color. The network also broadcasts periodic gospel variety talk shows highlighting host and ministries from some of it featured shows. The network continues to grow from its several week old launch—now touching about nine to ten different countries and looking to explode globally soon.
With the help of media, announced Marvin, with the help of support of the body of Christ, it's growing. I like to say, it’s like compound interest. If each subscriber, tells 10 people and those 10 tell 10 more people, it’s going to keep expanding. So we keep bringing in content and quality to CVE as people start sharing it. |
CVE will grow even further. However, our goal is not to become so global where we're a financial giant. We want to be lenders and not borrowers.
We want to help people with projects. If a person or ministry needs financing they can come to us. We’re a subscription-based network. We don’t charge outrageous prices. Like right now we're running specials—six months for only $3.33 a month that $19.95 for six months. That’s dinner, you do a 2 for 20 at Applebee’s and you have 6 months of CVE.
This is an opportunity, at an affordable rate. We can be an impactful informer to the body of Christ, by keeping people connected through visuals and through CVE.”
"Opportunity" was the optimal word with CVE. Marvin says it’s an opportunity that people really should stop overlooking. ”The reason why I'm saying that is...if there is no CVE then who? Pureflix and Netflix, they're great companies that have been there. Each company has their body and they're healthy. They even do their own projects. The question is, whose helping the little guy?

CVE is like the mom and pop of this business. We’re the local store that you can go in and get the things that you can't get at the big giant. And that's what we want to be. We want to be that mom and pop type of business that you will come to, but it has a global presence.”
On the personal note Pastor Marvin’s enthusiasm in no wise diminished, reflecting on who Jesus Christ is to him.
“Jesus Christ is…like they say, ‘to be a good leader, you have to be able to follow.’ I follow Jesus Christ. He is my everything…my all in all. Before, when I was lost in the world, I told him, if he’d save me, I’d serve him all the days of my life. I am his child. I am his humble servant. He’s everything to me and everything I do is to enhance and elevate him. Nothing I do glorifies me.
I pray this every day. If I can just share this with you. It’s not for me, but what can I do for him. How can I be better to others, as he has been great to me? Allow me to be a blessing to those I come in contact with. All the victory, all the glory, and all the accolades will go to him. I just want to serve him and that's who I am. I am a servant that serves my Father and Jesus the Christ.”
